FEBRUARY 1975 WOODLANDS
Hector Smith, a Jamaican man living in Glasgow, is confronted in his home by a gang which claims to be raising money for loyalist paramilitaries in Northern Ireland. Among them is a member of the National Front.
Within minutes, Smith has been shot dead in front of his family. The ensuing trial briefly captivates the Scottish media, but is rapidly forgotten. Hector Smith's name is lost to history. His young family are left to pick up the pieces.
